The Round Lake returns to the image of a crow in flight. It is based on a photograph of a crow in flight partially obscried by the branches of a tree. Three plates were used: a ground of violet/grey, a black plate for the image, and a grey/green veil.

The Round Lake relates closely to a painting entitled Fog.
