Newsprint, developed early in 1955, quoted directly from a photograph that Henderson took whilst visiting Paolozzi in Paris in 1949. Its trompe l'oeil imagery, which had 'it's origin in a large number of photographs of hoardings, wall drawings', playfully referred to the ephemeral nature of newsprint, billposters and perhaps wallpaper.
