One of Bomberg's major achievements, Russian Ballet, was a rare engagement with printmaking and was printed by Bomberg himself.
It was published by Hendersons, The Bomb Shop in 1919. As originally published these six lithographs were accompanied by a brief poem in blank verse written by the artist and bound together as a simple publication.
Based on the artist's work as a vorticist artist, The Russian Ballet, is unique amongst British illustrated books, and may be compared to contemporary Russian constructivism.
