This
work is the second largest work from a series titled Blessings and was
inspired by a father and son receiving a blessing under a canopy. Most of the
other works are of more intimate scale. It is of particular relevance to the
theme of connectivity. From a sculptural point of view it allowed me to
create a large number of material textures, tensions and connections between
two standing figures. These create sculptural drama but also a complex web
of psychological joins between individuals.
